DIRCETUR Puno No. 17-2022. Our legal name, tax ID and city appear on the Contact page and in the code of every page. You are booking with a Peruvian company that is accountable in Peru.
Every package shows the per-person price from our database, and the tier you choose changes only the hotel. International flights are never included, and we say so on every page instead of hiding them in a bundle.
Machu Picchu entry, train seats and Inca Trail permits are issued by name and passport number. We buy them the day your deposit clears and send the confirmations, so nothing is left to a line at a ticket office.
Our name comes from Lake Titicaca because we believe most first trips end too early. Machu Picchu is a site you look at. The lake is families you spend a day with. We build itineraries that reach both.

Guides written by the people who ride these trains and walk these trails every week: how Machu Picchu tickets work, what the Cusco altitude does to you, and where Lake Titicaca actually is.

Buy Machu Picchu tickets only on tuboleto.cultura.pe, the Ministerio de Cultura site. A foreign adult pays S/152 plus an S/11 SERNANP fee (as of February 2026). Pick a circuit, route and hourly slot, type each passport exactly, and book morning slots and Huayna Picchu once your dates are firm.

Cusco sits at about 3,400 m (11,150 ft), and the CDC treats flying straight in as a high-risk ascent. Expect a headache and short breath the first day. Sleep lower in the Sacred Valley first if you can, keep two days easy, skip alcohol, and ask your doctor about acetazolamide.

Lake Titicaca lies on the Peru and Bolivia border at 3,812 m (12,507 ft). It covers 8,372 km² (3,232 sq mi) and is up to 281 m (922 ft) deep. Puno is the main town on the Peruvian shore and Copacabana on the Bolivian shore.
The short versions. The FAQ page and the guides have the long ones.
No. No package includes international flights or the Lima to Cusco flight. Prices cover what happens on the ground: hotels, trains, tickets, guides and transfers. We tell you which domestic flight to book and we meet it.
You ask for a quote, we confirm your dates in writing, you pay a 30 percent deposit by card through a payment link, and the balance is paid on arrival, by card or in cash. Every payment gets a receipt and a confirmed itinerary with hotel names and train times.
Four days from Cusco is the comfortable answer: two nights in the city for the altitude, a day through the Sacred Valley to the train, and Machu Picchu on the morning of day three. The day trip works in one day but runs 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Cusco sits at 3,400 m (11,150 ft). Most people have a headache the first afternoon and feel normal by the second morning. Our itineraries keep day one light and put the high hikes from day three. Ask your doctor about altitude medication before you fly.
Most are shared, in small groups with one licensed guide and hotel pickup, which is what the published prices cover. Private tours are available on request and quoted per trip, the simplest from US$50, and we say in writing which service you booked.
Because the lake is the part of southern Peru that most trips skip, and we think it is the better second week. The agency is based in Puno, on the shore of the lake, and runs Machu Picchu every day, but the routes we are proudest of continue to Puno and the lake.
Send the dates, who is traveling and what you want to see. You get a written itinerary and a price per person, with no fee and no obligation.
